Transition to Independence Programme

From wanting something different to building something real.

This programme is for women who want to understand the route and want structured support as they move through it.

The Transition to Independence Programme is a six-month container for women who want support moving from uncertainty through to a direction they have chosen, researched, planned and started taking into the market. The difference, you’re not doing it alone.

Throughout the programme, you have structure, accountability, regular support from me, and a community of women moving through the same kind of transition.

Theres’s fortnightly accountability calls, access to Slack community and private access when you need support with something specific from me.

This is not a course you complete and forget.

It’s a supported transition process where you do the work but with support from myself and a community of women all moving through the same transition.

The programme runs over 6 months and you’ll move through five phases:

Phase 1: Understand Your Options

We begin with the full Transition Strategy process.

You will:

  • complete pre-session preparation

  • private Strategy Session

  • receive your personalised Transition Blueprint

  • 30-minute private Blueprint Handover

The aim is to understand what you already have to work with, what your realistic possibilities are, what those possibilities would require and what is worth investigating further.

By the end of this phase:
You understand your realistic options and which possibilities are worth exploring.

Phase 2: Test the Possibilities

Researching and investigating your options, using your Blueprint, identify the strongest possibilities and begin testing them.

That may include:

  • choosing the strongest possibilities to investigate

  • defining assumptions behind them

  • researching relevant markets and customers

  • investigating competitors and alternatives

  • understanding what is required to deliver the idea

  • identifying qualifications, technical requirements or specialist support where relevant

I keep you accountable, challenge assumptions, help you make sense of what you find, and stop you getting stuck in endless research.

The fortnightly accountability calls keep the work moving and between calls, you can use Slack to ask questions, share progress, get support, and learn from what other women in the programme are testing too.

By the end of this phase:
You know which possibilities are actually worth moving forward with.

Phase 3: Choose Your Direction

This is where you stop investigating everything and make a decision. You bring together what you learnt in Phase 2 and decide:

  • what you are pursuing and not

  • what evidence supports the direction you are choosing

  • what assumptions remain

This is a decision phase, you may still need to investigate one final thing before you decide, but the purpose is to move from possibility to direction.

Again, the fortnightly calls give you space to work through the decision properly, Slack remains available between sessions when you need to talk through a question, sense-check something or get support from the group.

By the end of this phase:
You know exactly what needs to happen to get the business ready for market and you are actively doing it.

Phase 4: Build the Plan

Once you have chosen the direction, we turn it into an easily executable plan.

  • timeline

  • dependencies

  • priorities

  • risks

You build it, this is not a done for you service.

The fortnightly calls keep you accountable. You do what you said you were going to do, what’s blocked or what needs re-prioritising.

Between calls, you have Slack access for questions, problem-solving and support as you work through the plan alongside women doing exactly the same thing.

By the end of this phase:
You know exactly what needs to happen to get the business ready for market and you are actively doing it.

Phase 5: Go to Market

You begin putting the offer in front of people and learning from what happens.

Depending on your business, you will recieve information on how to do specific things to start including business set ups.

The goal is not a huge dramatic launch, it’s to build consistency and this phase is heavily supported by accountability.

Your weekly calls focus on what you are doing, being consistent and taking action.

The community gives you a place to share progress, ask questions and stay connected while everyone begins putting their work into the real world.

By the end of this phase:
Your business is operating in the real world and you have a plan for staying consistent.

How you are supported:

  • personalised Transition Strategy

  • your Transition Blueprint

  • fortnightly accountability calls throughout the programme moving to weekly in phase 5.

  • Slack community access

  • private Slack access to me for questions

  • ongoing accountability as you move through each phase

  • practical support when you get stuck

  • help interpreting what you learn

  • help deciding what needs to change

  • support prioritising what matters now

  • support to keep momentum when the work becomes messy or uncertain

  • a community of women moving through the same kind of transition

What this programme is not:

  • This is not a done-for-you business build.

  • I am not building your website, writing every piece of content, setting up every system or making the decisions for you.

  • I will help you understand what needs building, in what order, support you when you get stuck, challenge you when something is not moving, and keep you accountable to the work you have decided to do.

  • Where specialist legal, tax, financial, design or technical expertise is required, I will help you identify that need, but I will not act outside my professional remit.
